Barkett Realty’s new office on St. Pete Beach has officially opened, celebrating the real estate firm’s expansion from their headquarters in downtown St. Petersburg. What makes this second location so unique is that it is commingled with Sea Grapes Wine Lounge & Light Fare—a new venue offering an extensive wine list and upscale charcuterie along with other provisions for the perfect beach picnic.
John Barkett, Broker and Owner of the boutique real estate firm, developed the experiential hybrid concept—where an upscale wine bar and eatery coexists with luxury residential real estate professionals—to meet the elevated needs of the clientele along the Gulf Beaches. He and Julie Featherston, his partner in life and now in Sea Grapes, have put together a distinctive blend of retail offerings where both locals and tourists alike can enjoy a relaxing glass of wine and sample authentic charcuterie prepared by Charcutier and Chef, Ryan Watkins. Guests may also shop for their dream home on the top beach in the U.S. while doing so.
The official ribbon cutting was conducted on location at 6390 Gulf Boulevard by the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce and attended by Al Johnson, City of St Pete Beach Mayor, Mark Grill, City of St Pete Beach City Commissioner District 2, Alex Rey, City of St Pete Beach City Manager, Jennifer McMahon, City of St Pete Beach Parks and Rec and Robin Miller, CEO/President of the Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber.
Mayor Johnson shared his enthusiasm for the concept saying, “This whole city is built on small business and we love having unique places like this.” Barkett echoed the Mayor’s remarks, sharing that they are residents of the city, along with several other of their family members, and this is what makes living and working in St. Pete Beach so wonderful.
